(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who came to fame as a federal prosecutor who took on the Mafia, was “forced” to pose for a mugshot as he presented himself for booking over a Democrat-led indictment in Fulton County, Georgia.
Giuliani, together with former President Donald Trump and 17 other defendants, was charged on August 14 by a grand jury and Fulton County’s leftist DA Fani Willis with “racketeering” and conspiring to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.
In what The New York Post described as “a humiliating reversal,” the man known around the world as “America’s Mayor” has been charged under the state RICO law (“Racketeer Influenced and Corruption Organizations”), similar to the federal RICO legislation “whose use Giuliani pioneered to take down the mob” in New York City.
“They’re going to degrade themselves by doing a mugshot of me, like people won’t recognize me,” Giuliani, a long-time ally and former lawyer of former President Donald Trump, told reporters as he was leaving his Manhattan home to turn himself into officials in Georgia.
He declared he felt good because he was fighting not only for his freedom but also to defend the rights of all Americans.
“This indictment is a travesty. This is an assault on the Constitution… Enemies of our republic are destroying rights, sacred rights. They’re destroying my right to counsel, my right to be a lawyer. They’re destroying his right to counsel. It’s not accidental that they’ve indicted all as lawyers. Never heard of that before in America,” Giuliani said.
“Whether you dislike or you like Donald Trump, let me give you a warning: it’s gonna come for you when the political winds shift, as they always do, let us pray that Republicans are more honest, more trustworthy, and more American than these people in charge of this government. Donald Trump told you this. They weren’t just coming for him or me,” America’s Mayor elaborated.
He was released on a $150,000 bond and warned not to “intimidate” the 18 other defendants in the case or any of the witnesses, according to court papers, Reuters reports, as cited by Newsmax.
“I’m the same Rudy Giuliani that took down the Mafia that made New York City the safest city in America… You find a prosecutor who has a better record than mine in the last 100 years. Bet you don’t. Or mayor… I am fighting for justice,” he concluded before leaving for his booking.
