(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Angry that she didn’t get her “progressive” (read communist) way when United States Senator Joe Manchin – a West Virginia Democrat who is so conservative many political observers believe he will join the Republican Party soon – announced he will not vote for Joe Biden and the Democrats pork-laden, multi-trillion-dollar “Build Back Better” legislation, U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lashed out at the Senate “old boys’ club.”
As the conservative New York Post reports:
“Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez castigated the Senate as an “old boys’ club” Monday before slamming Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin for coming out against President Biden’s $2 trillion Build Back Better spending package.”
While appearing on the ultra-left Morning Joe show on MSNBC, and after slamming just about anyone and everyone she could think of during a fit of rage, AOC then turned her anger at the Senate and the filibuster tradition, saying:
“‘God forbid they might have to actually show up and stand or sit and actually have to talk and actually live out the threat of their filibuster,’ she said. ‘It is unconscionable the way the Senate operates. It’s fundamentally undemocratic.’
“‘What we really need to do is crack down on the Senate, which operates like an old boys’ club that has a couple of gals in it that have managed to break through,’ Ocasio-Cortez went on.” [emphasis added]
