‘Attack Dog’ Pelosi Back Slamming GOP (Video)

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Somewhat forgotten in recent months, Democrat former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who seems to relish playing “attack dog,” is back slamming the GOP by blasting her successor, Kevin McCarthy, for “toying” with the possibility of expunging former President Donald Trump’s impeachments.

After serving as Speaker of the House of Representatives for four years, through January 2023, 83-year-old Pelosi hasn’t retired from Congress and politics.

As the Republicans retook the US House of Representatives in November, Pelosi stepped down as the top House Democrat and remained a regular congresswoman, partly disappearing from public sight.

In a new CNN interview, she went after current House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for “playing politics” by declaring his support for erasing Trump’s two impeachments from 2019 and 2021.

Last month, McCarthy said he favored expunging those because one of the impeachments was “not based on true facts” while the other was based on “no due process.”

The former Democrat-majority Houses impeached then-president Trump over alleged “abuse of power” and “obstruction of Congress” in December 2019 and over alleged “incitement of insurrection” in January 2021.

The former charges were connected with allegations that Trump threatened to block US military aid to Ukraine if that nation didn’t investigate Hunter Biden and Joe Biden’s dealings there; the latter charge stemmed from the January 6, 2021, events at the US Capitol.

Both times, Trump was acquitted by the US Senate after the Democrat onslaughts against him failed to gather two-thirds majorities that would have convicted and removed him from office.

“We had no choice, [Trump] must be impeached,” former House Speaker Pelosi told the CNN program “State of the Union,” as cited by The Hill.

“[Trump] was impeached because we had no choice. He had undermined our national security, jeopardized our wellbeing of our country,” she reiterated.

Pelosi slammed House Speaker McCarthy for being “not responsible” by putting forth the idea of erasing Trump’s impeachment record.

“Kevin is, you know, playing politics. It’s not even clear if he constitutionally can expunge,” she declared.

“This is about being afraid. As I’ve said before, Donald Trump is the puppeteer. And what does he do all the time to shine light on the strings? These people look pathetic,” the former speaker claimed.
