(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Taking a page out of Colin Kaepernick’s controversial civil rights protest playbook, Bette Midler is calling on women to take a knee during the National Anthem to protest the anticipated decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization which is expected to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Midler, the well-known actress, comedian, singer, and entertainer, posted a meme on Twitter encouraging “every woman and girl” to “take a knee” when The Star-Spangled Banner is played.

In another Twitter post, Midler compared Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito — the justice who authored the leaked draft opinion in the Dobbs case — to Tomás de Torquemada, the Grand Inquisitor during the Spanish Inquisition.

Midler is just one of many Hollywood “celebrities” to express outrage over the probability that the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade in the coming days.
Still, she is the first to call on women to start protesting during the national anthem.
