(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – There’s no question that Biden doesn’t like former President Trump. After all, Biden’s first actions as the new President of the United States (POTUS) included redacting Trump policies. Now, Biden holds the cards and isn’t giving the 45th president his way.
The former president was seeking to use his executive privilege to protect his White House records, namely documents pertaining to the January 6 incident in which Trump supporters stormed the capital. President Biden has denied these privileges to Trump, citing the interest of the nation.

White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, indicated that President Biden’s intentions are to prevent a repeat of January 6, 2021. Psaki noted that the president believes both Congress and the American people should know exactly what took place that day.
Federal law allows former presidents to withhold certain documents they deem sensitive, which is what former President Trump was attempting to do before Biden formally denied the request. While the White House claims the decision has nothing to do with politics, Trump believes they’re using Congress to persecute political rivals, playing games instead of basing their actions on the law.
The National Archives, which can withhold documents from the public and Congress at the former president’s request, has not made a public statement about the issue. Trump and his legal team threaten to take the transfer to court if need be.
