(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In one of the most outrageous recent claims by the Biden-Harris Justice Department, it has demanded, in collaboration with the United Nations, immunity for UN employees in Gaza who might be involved in the appalling October 7 terrorist attack against Israel.
The United Nations, supported by the US Department of Justice, filed a document in a US court asserting that UNRWA employees implicated in the Oct. 7 massacres should be immune from prosecution, as reported by Israel’s Channel 12 and WND.
The UN argues in the court document that the UNRWA employees who participated in the massacre have immunity.
“Since the UN has not waived their immunity in this case, its subsidiary organization, UNRWA, continues to enjoy absolute immunity from prosecution, and the lawsuit should be dismissed,” it says.
Moreover, the U.S. Justice Department, under Attorney General Merrick Garland, supported the UN’s position.
“The plaintiffs’ complaint does not present a theory under which the United Nations waived its immunity. Therefore, since the UN has not waived their immunity in this case, its subsidiary organization, UNRWA, continues to enjoy absolute immunity from prosecution, and the lawsuit against the defendant UNRWA should be dismissed due to the lack of subject matter,” the DOJ writes.
This situation isn’t akin to minor offenses like unpaid parking tickets in New York City, which can be easily resolved, the report comments.
At stake is the involvement of numerous UNRWA employees, from various levels of seniority, in the most severe anti-Jewish pogrom in about 80 years.
It is estimated that about 10% of UNRWA’s roughly 14,000 Gaza staff (pre-war) also worked covertly as Hamas operatives.
In August, UNRWA itself admitted that nine of its staff “may have been involved in the Oct. 7 massacre,” though this number seems suspiciously low.
Additionally, there have been credible reports of high-ranking UNRWA employees misappropriating and hoarding aid intended for Gaza, purportedly to prevent a non-existent famine threat.
In July, the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, passed the first reading of a series of bills aimed at closing down the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, amid indications that the organization is closely linked with Hamas, the de facto ruling entity in Gaza.
Based on the evidence, UNRWA has been labeled a “terrorist organization.”
