(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a new revelation showing that the reality about the Biden-Harris administration’s illegal immigrant invasion is more frightening than thought, it has turned out that a shocking US border assault earlier this year was committed by a vast number of criminals from the Tren de Aragua gang.
Over 100 suspected members of the Venezuelan prison gang, Tren de Aragua (TdA), were involved in the violent confrontation at the El Paso, Texas border in March, The New York Post reports.
This event led Texas Governor Greg Abbott to classify the gang as a foreign terrorist organization.
“Earlier this year, more than 100 suspected TdA members were arrested after the riots at the El Paso border, when immigrants assaulted the Texas National Guard,” Gov.
Abbott disclosed on Monday as he introduced measures to tackle the gang’s increasing influence in the US.
During this chaotic incident, numerous illegal immigrants surged through razor wire barriers, clashing with troops from Texas in their rush into the US.
In a particularly violent episode, a migrant injured a service member’s knee in the struggle to cross the embattled southern border.
In response, Abbott officially designated the Venezuelan group as a “foreign terrorist organization” and outlined his strategy to suppress the gang’s activities.
“Texas is aggressively going after these foreign terrorist organizations of TdA,” the governor stated during a press conference on Monday.
His plan includes imposing a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years for any TdA members convicted of smuggling individuals into Texas, establishing a database to monitor gang members, and enhancing law enforcement’s ability to dismantle this transnational criminal organization.
“Our goal among law enforcement in the state of Texas is to defend our state from the growing threat of TdA. We are not going to allow them to use Texas as a base of operations to terrorize our citizens,” he declared vehemently.
After the initial clash in March, a judge released 211 migrants who had been accused of rioting, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) subsequently released several into the US.
Meanwhile, TdA has reportedly expanded its operations nationally, overtaking residential buildings in Colorado, commandeering hotels near the Texas border in El Paso, and even engaging in violent confrontations with police in New York.
Recently, Texas authorities apprehended 20 individuals, many identified as TdA members, at the now-closed Gateway hotel in El Paso.
These arrests were linked to accusations of human smuggling, prostitution, and drug possession, according to Abbott.
Additionally, a Motel 6 in El Paso was found sheltering fugitive Venezuelan migrants implicated in a violent jewelry store robbery in Denver that occurred in June.
