(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – BREAKING NOW: There has been a horrific mass casualty event in California involving police recruits struck and run over by a vehicle while out on a training run.
Reports from the scene indicate that 22 Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department recruits were mowed down by a car and that at least five of the recruits are in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle has been taken into custody.
According to the New York Post:
“At least 22 Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department recruits were injured, including five critically, after a vehicle plowed into them while they were out on a training run early Wednesday, authorities said.
“The recruits were out running along Mills Avenue in Whittier just before 6.30 a.m. when the horrific crash unfolded.
“In addition to the critically injured, four recruits suffered moderate injuries and 14 others were left with minor injuries, according to the LA County Fire Department.” [emphasis added]
Police do not know the cause of the horrific incident yet.
