BREAKING: Rudy Giuliani Hauled In

( – BREAKING NOW: Rudy Giuliani, who was part of former President Donald Trump’s legal team and tried to reverse the results of the 2020 presidential election in critical states, was recently questioned by investigators from the Justice Department’s special counsel office.

Ted Goodman, a representative for Giuliani, confirmed that Giuliani had indeed met with the special counsel. He stated, “The appearance was entirely voluntary and conducted in a professional manner.”

According to a source who wished to remain anonymous because the investigation is still in progress, the interview was not conducted before a grand jury. However, the source did not share the questions that the investigators posed.

This interview signals ongoing investigative work by special counsel Jack Smith and his team. They’re examining the attempts made by Trump and his allies to reverse the election results in the days leading up to the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021.

Earlier this month, Smith filed a separate case against Trump for illegally keeping classified documents at his Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago.

As Trump’s lawyer, Giuliani promoted false legal challenges to the presidential election results. The legal team brought lawsuits in crucial states, asserting baseless claims of massive election fraud. This was despite officials, such as Trump’s attorney general, William Barr, confirming that no such widespread issues existed.

Because of these efforts, Giuliani has become a central figure in various investigations. Last year, he was questioned by a House committee looking into the events leading to the January 6 attack and by prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia, who are investigating attempts to undermine that state’s election.

For several months, Justice Department prosecutors have been exploring Trump’s legal advisors’ role in trying to reverse the election. Last July, conservative lawyer John Eastman, who assisted Trump in contesting the election results, reported that federal agents had confiscated his phone.
