(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a new plight for Springfield, Ohio, a relatively small town making controversial headlines as it is plagued by the despicable behavior of thousands of illegal immigrants, has now been hit with multiple bomb threats against its public buildings.
Springfield, Ohio, which has recently found itself at the epicenter of a complex migrant situation, has seen its local authorities compelled to evacuate City Hall following multiple bomb threats, as reported by Spectrum News on Thursday.
The officials initially encountered the threat through an email received at 8:24 a.m., a detail shared via a statement cited by The Daily Caller.
This statement further disclosed that the threats were not isolated to a single location but spanned multiple facilities within the city.
The local government is actively investigating these threats.
“Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our employees and residents. We are working to address this situation as swiftly as possible,” the statement emphasized.
This situation in Springfield gained additional media scrutiny following allegations from local citizens.
These residents claimed that Haitian migrants, who had been relocated to this Columbus suburb under the Biden-Harris administration with temporary protected status, had been involved in disturbing activities involving local wildlife and pets.
Controversially, it was alleged that these migrants were responsible for the killing and consumption of local geese and even town pets, leading to a frenzy of media coverage and public uproar.
The narrative took a more defined shape when these allegations were mentioned by former President Donald Trump during Tuesday’s presidential debate with Democrat Kamala Harris.
“In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs, the people that came in, they’re eating the cats, they’re eating the pets of the people that live there,” he said.
This statement amplified the controversy to a national level.
However, local officials and law enforcement have countered these claims.
The Springfield police department and the city manager addressed the rumors in a statement to the Springfield News-Sun, confirming that there have been “no reports related to pets being stolen and eaten.”
Yet, some locals persist in their claims.
Adding another layer to the situation, Republican Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost questioned the dismissal of these claims based solely on official statements.
He highlighted a particular incident reported to the police, tweeting, “There’s a recorded police call from a witness who saw immigrants capturing geese for food in Springfield. Citizens testified to the City Council. These people would be competent witnesses in court. Why does the media find a carefully worded City Hall press release better evidence?”
