(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Millions of patriotic Americans, along with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, are furious that GoFundMe has stolen millions of dollars donated to the truckers protesting COVID mandates in Canada and announced it would redirect those charitable contributions to other charities of its choice because it was shutting down contributions to the truckers.
Now DeSantis, along with several Republican state attorneys general, will battle with GoFundMe on behalf of the truckers and the individuals who had donated to the trickers.
As the Daily Caller calls attention to in “DeSantis, Republican Attorneys General To Launch Probe Into GoFundMe Over Freedom Convoy’s Fundraiser”:
“Top GOP officials, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and West Virginia and Louisiana attorneys general, vowed to investigate GoFundMe’s decision to refuse distribution of fundraiser donations to “Freedom Convoy 2022.”
“‘It’s a fraud for @gofundme to commandeer $9M in donations sent to support truckers and give it to causes of their own choosing,’ DeSantis tweeted Saturday, referring to the crowdfunding website’s initial plans to ‘send all remaining funds to credible and established charities.’” [emphasis added]
“DeSantis promised to ‘investigate these deceptive practices,’ stating that those who donated to the protests against the Canadian government’s COVID-19 mandate had to receive their money back.” [emphasis added]
All across the United States, Canada, and other countries globally, conservatives are cheering DeSantis’s pledge to take action against GoFundMe. The dollars they took in to benefit the protestors in Canada are not theirs to steal and redirect as they see fit.
Those dollars only belong to the intended beneficiaries – the truckers – or the original donating individual.
What do you think? Please email [email protected] and share your opinion about GoFundMe trying to take donations for the truckers and redirect the dollars as they see fit to other charitable causes. Are you glad DeSantis is taking action?

I will work with @AGAshleyMoody to investigate these deceptive practices — these donors should be given a refund.
