(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – The world’s richest person and Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk has called for prosecuting Dr. Anthony Fauci, the US government official who became the face of the Biden administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
81-year-old Fauci, the highest-paid federal government employee, is retiring at the end of this month as the White House Chief Medical Adviser and the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), a job he held for 38 years.
Musk issued his call for criminal charges against Fauci by also mocking the posting of “gender pronouns” on Twitter profiles, which is popular among transgender promoters.
“My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci,” the Chief Twit and Tesla CEO wrote on Twitter Sunday morning.
He also shared a photoshopped image from The Lord of the Rings films, showing Fauci whispering in “king” Joe Biden’s ear.
“Just one more lockdown, My King,” read the image caption.
In a subsequent post, Elon Musk explained why Dr. Anthony Fauci should be prosecuted as he implied that the virologist was connected with the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“He lied to Congress and funded gain-of-function research that killed millions of people. Not awesome IMO,” Musk wrote.
Republicans have already accused Fauci of lying about funding the National Institutes of Health (NIH) provided for bat coronavirus research in the virology institute in Wuhan, China, The New York Post noted in a report.
The top infectious disease official in the United States has told Congress that the NIH, NIAID’s parent institution, has funded bat coronavirus research. However, he has denied that it involved “gain of function,” i.e., genetic engineering to make it more infectious for humans.
Last month, Fauci vowed to “absolutely” cooperate with potential congressional investigations into how he handled the COVID-19 pandemic. He also insisted his actions had been rooted in “science, not politics.”
Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk was attacked by Democrats and allies for calling for Fauci’s prosecution.
“Elon Musk wants to criminalize Anthony Fauci because he disagrees with him. Elon is no champion of free speech,” commented Rep. Ritchie Torres, a Bronx Democrat.
He called Musk’s comments incendiary and then asked Democrat donors for money to beat the GOP in the 2024 election.
“Dr. Fauci is a national hero who will be remembered for generations to come for his innate goodness & many contributions to public health,” wrote John Brennan, the former CIA Director.
“Despite your business success, you will be remembered most for fueling public hate & divisions. You may have money, but you have no class,” Brennan slammed Musk.
