(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In his continuing effort to convince people that he will reform Twitter into a social media platform that promotes free speech and isn’t biased in one political direction or the other if he can complete the purchase of Twitter, Elon Musk was again very active on the platform last night.
During a series of tweets across a range of topics — with many intended to be comical and light-hearted — Musk had a very serious statement that sums up perfectly his view of what Twitter must be if it is to be trusted.
As you can see in the actual tweet from Musk a little further down this post, Musk argued:
For Twitter to deserve public trust, it must be politically neutral, which effectively means upsetting the far right and the far left equally
While polling shows that many Americans agree with Musk that social media platforms should be “politically neutral,” a statistically significant percentage of Americans only want to be on social media sites where the account holders are of one political view — a view that agrees with their opinion.
