(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – As Donald Trump prepares to take office once again, a seismic upswing in morale is sweeping through the U.S. Border Patrol, with agents eagerly anticipating a return to aggressive immigration policies and renewed support for strict border enforcement.

This shift comes with promises of a reinforced approach to securing America’s borders, a welcomed change for many within the Department of Homeland Security.

U.S. Border Patrol agents report a surge in spirits as they prepare to tackle illegal immigration with the support of a Trump-led administration.

For months, morale among these agents had been in a lull, but that cloud of uncertainty is now lifting, bringing optimism and hope for the future.

Paul Perez, President of the National Border Patrol Council, expressed relief at the looming end of catch and release policies, highlighting how detrimental these have been to U.S. sovereignty and security.

With the incoming administration undertaking swift deportations and border fortification, Perez and his colleagues are reinvigorated for the tasks ahead.

“We are bracing for a post-election migration surge,” a DHS source commented, noting the challenge they are about to face, cited by The Washington Examiner.

The eagerly anticipated appointment of Tom Homan as Border Czar by President-elect Trump is also a key development driving this upswing in morale.

Homan’s track record as the former acting director of ICE sets the stage for a robust stance against illegal immigration.

Trump’s planned implementation of mass deportations, completing the border wall, and enforcing workplace raids further reflect a determination to secure America’s borders effectively.

“Trump’s win means a return to a more secure border which we experienced during his first term, but also, the end of catch and release, an end to the influx of criminals from around the world, a notice to the cartels that they’re not going to be allowed free reign of our borders and a voice to the victims of illegal alien crime,” Perez said.

Outgoing Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and the dispiriting policies of the Biden-Harris administration had weighed heavily on the Border Patrol’s mission.

Over 10.7 million people attempted to cross into the U.S. under Biden, with significant numbers released into the country.

These policies have often led to public safety threats, making the anticipated reforms under Trump a refreshing change for frontline agents.

Tom Homan, a seasoned advocate of stringent border measures, believes the safety of American communities will be prioritized.

It stands clear that “What member of Congress, what governor, or what mayor is against taking public safety threats out of their community?” posed Homan, underscoring a renewed commitment under Trump’s leadership.
