(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Happening Now: A massive air and sea search is underway, having been initiated by the fearless men and women of the United States Coast Guard.
According to a report from U.S. Coast Guard District 7, located in Florida, a Good Samaritan spotted and rescued a man clinging to an overturned boat (see photo further down this post) approximately 45 miles off the coast of Florida.
The rescued survivor informed the Coast Guard there were 39 other people on the boat with him when it capsized in heavy seas.
Reportedly, none of the individuals were wearing life jackets.
The Coast Guard immediately launched air and sea rescue apparatus and personnel, and the dangerous search is still underway.
According to local news sources in Florida, “The boat was coming from the Bahamas, and a survivor said the boat capsized when it encountered severe weather.” Further, “The Coast Guard says it is likely a human smuggling venture.”
