Anthony Nephew, a 46-year-old father, took the lives of his family members, including his two sons, before turning the gun on himself.
Nephew, known for his anti-Trump sentiments on social media, fatally shot his ex-partner Erin Abramson, their 15-year-old son Jacob Nephew, his wife Kathryn Nephew, and their 7-year-old son Oliver Nephew.
The bodies were discovered in two separate homes in Duluth. Nephew’s criticism of then-President-elect Donald Trump adds a chilling political dimension to this heartbreaking event.
The Duluth Police Department confirmed that Nephew was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

“My mental health and the world can no longer peacefully coexist, and a lot of the reason is religion,” Nephew wrote, cited by The New York Post.
