(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Tim Allen, a famous Hollywood actor popular with conservatives, has been replaced by Disney and Pixar for the title role in their new animation film “Lightyear” because he is “openly” conservative and Republican, according to observers.
Tim Allen has been voicing the character of Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story franchise since the early 1990s. However, in the “Lightyear” film, a Toy Story spinoff, he was booted and replaced by Chris Evans.
The spinoff has already received lots of bad press for featuring a lesbian relationship and a lesbian kiss for no apparent reason.
According to Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy and her husband, former GOP Congressman, Sean Duffy, Disney axed Tim Allen from the role in the spinoff for no other reason than being Republican.
“Why would they change the voice? Kids wanna hear the same voice in the toy that they heard in the movie,” Sean Duffy said on their podcast “From the Kitchen Table: The Duffys.”
“That’s how dumb this is, they’re trying to come up with an excuse as for why they’re canceling Tim Allen. They couldn’t let the reason be he’s a Republican, they had to create some other reason as for why they were kicking him out,” he elaborated.
“Everyone knows that Tim Allen was basically canceled,” Rachel Campos-Duffy added.
Disney executives have been trying to justify Tim Allen’s replacement by arguing that the “Lightyear” character is different from the character of the Buzz Lightyear toy known from Toy Story 1, 2, 3, and 4, voiced by the famous actor.
“Tim Allen is Buzz Lightyear the toy. We weren’t making a Toy Story movie. We’re making Buzz Lightyear’s movie. And so first and foremost, we just needed a different person playing that Lightyear, separate from the toy,” the “Lightyear” producer Galyn Susman told Consequence Film.
On their podcast, the Duffys also lauded another Hollywood actress, Patricia Heaton, who is also a Republican, and who last month lambasted Disney for purging Tim Allen because of his politics.
“Saw the trailer for Buzz Lightyear and all I can say is Disney/Pixar made a HUGE mistake in not casting my pal [Tim Allen]. Tim Allen in the role that he originated, the role that he owns. Tim IS Buzz! Why would they completely castrate this iconic, beloved character?” Heaton asked in her tweet.
