Hostage Truck SPOILS Democrats’ Fun!

HAPPENING NOW

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a bold move that will spoil the fun that the left is hoping to have at the Democrat National Convention (DNC), a truck driver from Chicago is leveraging his vehicle to draw attention to the hostages still held by Islamist terrorist organization Hamas after the appalling October 7 terror attack on US ally Israel.

Jeremiah Smith, 28, who hails from the inner city of Chicago, is at the forefront of this initiative to heighten awareness regarding the plight of the hostages, including his childhood friend Hersh Goldberg-Polin, a Chicago native, more than ten months after their capture on October 7.

Smith drives his “hostage truck” throughout Chicago for 12 hours daily, six days a week, aiming to correct misconceptions about Israel and combat antisemitism, while highlighting the ongoing crisis of those in captivity.

“The DNC is a big opportunity – to show attendees and politicians that we want these hostages home. This is my way of helping Hersh and all the hostages,” Smith conveyed to The New York Post during his morning route.

He also aims to appeal to convention attendees to act in favor of the hostages amidst the prevailing anti-Israel sentiment: “Please do everything to bring them home alive. Don’t forget about the hostages.”

Raised in the Cabrini-Green projects on the North Side, Smith met Hersh’s grandmother, Marcy Goldberg, a volunteer tutor, when he was six years old.

He became deeply integrated into their family, referring to Hersh as his brother.

Hersh, who turned 23 while in captivity, was abducted during the Nova music festival in Re’im, Israel, where terrorists killed around 350 attendees.

Smith credits his survival and escape from a challenging childhood to the Goldberg family.

“Marcy definitely saved my life. I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t know these people. The Jewish community welcomed me with open arms,” Smith stated, recounting his exposure to severe violence and drug activity as a child.

Today, Smith identifies with Judaism, having been introduced to the faith while living with Marcy.

He has embraced various Jewish traditions and visited Israel multiple times. Reflecting on the ongoing ordeal, Smith remains on edge over Hersh’s fate, especially after initially not knowing whether Hersh survived the attack.

The first indication that Hersh was alive came from a Hamas propaganda video on April 24, showing him significantly weakened after 200 days of captivity.

“I was so happy to see him alive,” Smith shared, acknowledging the struggle to maintain hope.

In addition to his truck campaign, Smith is preparing an exhibit titled “Hostage Square Chicago” for the DNC, featuring poignant art pieces that recall the horrors of October 7.
