(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Following through on a 2022 election campaign promise, the Republican majority in the US House of Representatives will impeach President Joe Biden’s Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, GOP US Rep. Ronny Jackson has vowed.
Jackson, the former White House physician representing Texas’ 13th congressional district in the House of Representatives, spoke in an interview on the Fox News program “Sunday Morning Futures.”
“Mayorkas has got to go, so we’re going to start investigating him,” the Texas Republican declared.
“We are going investigate every decision he’s made. We’re going to use the power of subpoena. We’re going to use the power of the purse and come after Mayorkas. He needs to go,” Jackson promised further.
Nearly 6 million illegal immigrants have been allowed to enter the United States, the overwhelming majority through the border with Mexico since Joe Biden occupied the White House 22 months ago.
The number includes more than 1 million gotaways, among the more than 2.3 million illegal new arrivals in the US.
“We need to make an example of Mayorkas, and he’ll be just the start of what we do in this new Congress, but he’s absolutely got to go. He’s been a complete, absolute disaster, and he has been the lead on making this happen, the border being the disaster that it is,” US Rep. Jackson stated in his interview.
At the same time, he made it clear that Mayorkas’ blame for the migrant crisis should not be allowed to obscure that of President Joe Biden.
“Let’s make no mistake about it: This could not be happening without [President Joe] Biden. Biden and Mayorkas, they are the traffickers in chief right now,” said the Republican congressman.
“There’s been no accountability in the administration for anything that they have done, whether it’s been the economy or COVID or the disaster overseas in Afghanistan or our border,” added Jackson, who is also a former US Navy rear admiral.
He emphasized that the Biden administration had been stimulating illegal immigrants to arrive in the United States by giving them “plane tickets, train tickets, bus tickets, cellphones, welfare, schools, health care.”
“We’re creating unbelievable incentives for these people to come here, and they are doing it purposefully. So [Mayorkas] has got to go. He is damaging and destroying this country in a variety of ways,” Jackson concluded.
Forecasts say illegal immigrant numbers will skyrocket after December 21, which will see the termination of Title 42, the public health policy adopted in March 2020 under the Trump administration allowing the expulsion of migrants during the coronavirus pandemic.
More than 2.4 million illegals have been expelled from the US in the 2.5 years during which the policy was active. The illegal aliens in question would otherwise have been allowed to remain in the country.
