(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – As the legal walls close in on the Biden family, Devon Archer, a former close business partner of Hunter Biden, is cooperating with the House Republicans’ investigation of the alleged $10 million bribery Hunter received, which also involves Joe Biden, a report reveals.
The House Oversight Committee chaired by Rep. James Comer (R-KY) has been probing the finances of the Biden family, including an FBI informant file claiming that Mykola Zlochevsky, a pro-Russian Ukrainian oligarch, paid Joe and Hunter Biden $5 million each.
Devon Archer and Hunter Biden founded Rosemont Seneca Partners, a now-dissolved investment company.
They both served on the board of Zlochevksy’s energy firm Burisma Holdings. Archer was appointed in April 2014, and Hunter Biden – the following month, with a $1 million annual salary.
Archer was subpoenaed for a deposition by the House Oversight Committee last week and is cooperating with the Republicans, according to The Washington Examiner.
A committee aide told the news outlet that Archer’s testimony would happen in the coming days or weeks.
“Devon Archer certainly is a person of interest in our investigation,” Comer told the Newsmax program “Rob Schmitt Tonight.”
“He was someone that was on the inside with the Biden family. He knows exactly the level of participation that Joe Biden had within his family’s influence-peddling schemes, and we just want to give him an opportunity to tell us exactly what he knows about what the Bidens did to receive all this money that they’re getting from countries all around the world and what level of involvement Joe Biden had,” the House Oversight Committee chairman elaborated.
In revelations made last month based on bank transfers, Comer said nine members of the Biden family received at least $10 million in cash from entities in Romania and Communist China.
Some transactions were performed while Joe Biden was Barack Obama’s vice president from 2009 until 2017.
“We believe that there was a return on the investment for the investment that these countries were wiring money to the various Biden family members,” the House Oversight Committee chief said at a press conference.
The White House has rejected those claims, saying the GOP couldn’t name a “single Joe Biden policy” that was unduly influenced.
