(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Americans have been growing increasingly outraged by Hunter Biden’s continuing evasion of justice and a conservative legal analyst has now affirmed they are justified to do so – as he declared that a federal grand jury probing the scandalous first son on gun and tax charges is a “charade.”
According to Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett, the federal grand jury investigation into Hunter Biden in California is nothing but “a farce.”
This critical view comes in light of Attorney General Merrick Garland appointing David Weiss as special counsel on August 11 to investigate allegations of gun and tax law violations by Hunter Biden.
Jarrett, speaking on “Kudlow” with guest host David Asman, expressed skepticism about Weiss’s handling of the case.
“This is a guy that tore up an agreement to file six serious charges against Hunter Biden. He concocted the sweetheart deal to give him immunity and no jail time,” Jarrett stated.
“It imploded and he was forced by a federal judge to bring the gun charge, I think Congress uncovered so much incriminating evidence and forced him to convene this grand jury, but I suspect it’s a charade because it’s secret, and if a prosecutor like Weiss wants to present a lackluster apathetic case with feeble evidence, and either not make a recommendation to the grand jury on indictment or to argue against an indictment, he can do that,” the analyst elaborated.
CNN reported that Weiss convened a grand jury in California to examine Hunter Biden’s business activities.
In a recent development, Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges and a felony gun charge at a July 26 hearing.
This plea followed the collapse of a plea bargain, initially announced on June 20, after Delaware US District Judge Maryellen Noreika raised questions about the initial plea agreement.
“This strikes me as a farce, window dressing. I hope I’m wrong. We’ll wait and see,” Jarrett added, expressing his doubts about the investigation’s legitimacy.
During his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on November 7, Weiss sought to refute claims that the prosecution team in the Hunter Biden case had political biases.
Jarrett slammed “a double standard” in legal approaches to former President Donald Trump with reports that US Special Counsel Robert Hur would not charge President Joe Biden following an inquiry into classified materials found at the Penn Biden Center and Biden’s Delaware home.
“Joe Biden may escape legally but politically, I think this is going to damage him,” the analyst predicted.
