Ilhan Omar Proposes Thought Police Law To Protect Islam

U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar

( – If you believe in the slippery slope theory when it comes to how the federal government works – the notion that government takes an inch while on the way to grabbing a mile – the fact that Rep. Ilhan Omar has co-sponsored a bill that would essentially create thought police to monitor what you do and say should be of great concern.

According to Robert Spencer, writing for David Horowitz’s Frontpage Magazine, “Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadishu) and Jan Schakowsky (D-Lightfootland) have determined to take action against ‘Islamophobia,’ and their initiative is gaining traction. The House Foreign Affairs Committee on Friday approved their bill calling for a State Department ‘Islamophobia monitor,’ and now it will go to the full House for further consideration.”

According to Spencer, with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in charge of the United States House of Representatives, the bill is all but certain to pass.

Once passed, the bill would “require the State Department to create a Special Envoy for monitoring and combating Islamophobia, and include state-sponsored Islamophobic violence and impunity in the Department’s annual human rights reports.” [emphasis added]

In reality, Spencer notes this would “just be another agent in the Left’s escalating war against freedom of speech, silencing opposition to jihad violence and Sharia oppression of women, and thereby enabling unarguably sinister forces.” [emphasis added]

This is an extremely alarming bill and, having interviewed Spencer on more than one occasion, we can highly recommend his research and analysis.
