(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Congresswoman Ilhan Omar made a disgustingly ludicrous and deceitful lie about climate change in order to demand an “emergency” declaration – only to have a GOP lawmaker expose her ulterior motives.
Omar, a well-known “woke” and Marxist Minnesota Democrat known for comparing the US and Israel to Islamist terrorists, posted earlier this week on Twitter an unprovable claim.
“The earth just broke the record for the hottest day in 120,000 years. In fact, we broke it on three separate days,” Omar tweeted.
“National climate emergency now,” she added.
Omar’s allegation seems ridiculous simply because the first proper thermometer was invented by Daniel Fahrenheit only in 1714, and there have been comprehensive climate records for only a little over 100 years since the end of the 19th century, The Blaze points out.
It quotes a NASA article explaining that “three of the world’s most complete temperature tracking records – from NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Climactic Data Center and the UK Meteorological Office’s Hadley Centre – begin in 1880.”
“The oldest continuous temperature record is the Central England Temperature Data Series, which began in 1659, and the Hadley Centre has some measurements beginning in 1850, but there are too few data before 1880 for scientists to estimate average temperatures for the entire planet,” NASA elaborates.
Radical-left Rep. Ilhan Omar’s claim about heat in the past 120,000 years seems to be derived from a “climate alarmist essay” by WFLA-TV meteorologist Jeff Berardelli and the University of Maine’s Climate Reanalyzer, The Blaze notes.
The report stresses that the Northern Hemisphere is experiencing a hot summer. Still, the Southern Hemisphere is having a cold winter: South Africa’s Johannesburg has seen its first snowfall in a decade, and an untypical cold has gripped Australia.
While Omar’s allegation about climate change over hundreds of thousands of years is described as “demonstrably false,” a Republican US senator, Mike Lee of Utah, exposed the more striking problem with her statement.
Namely, the radical Marxist’s demand for a national emergency because of climate change – a euphemism for the left’s push for more government control and totalitarianism.
“Oldest progressive play in the book—all socialism starts out with an ’emergency,'” Lee wrote in response to Omar’s tweet.
