Illegals Are Now Crossing the Northern Border?!?

St. Clair River

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Border agents have prevented an American citizen from smuggling four illegal immigrants into the US from Canada by using jet skis in a case showing illegals are now violating not just the Southern Border but the Northern Border as well.

The American man in question was trying to smuggle four illegal immigrants from Brazil in a human trafficking scheme, The Washington Times reported.

The trafficker and the illegals were using jet skis to cross the St. Clair River, which divides the US state of Michigan from Canada, when they were intercepted by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents.

The human trafficking attempt was detected last Saturday after CBP Air and Marine Operations officers noticed that a jet ski with three people left Canadian waters, crossed the border in the St. Claire River, and landed close to Port Huron, Michigan.

After that, two people started walking down a road nearby, while the jet ski and the pilot went back to Canadian territory for what was discovered to be a second human smuggling trip.

In the meantime, the two illegal immigrants already on American territory got into a car, which a US citizen was driving.

The car was busted at a border station in Marysville, Michigan, and the two foreign nationals inside were found to be two men from Brazil aged 34 and 35.

Not long after that, the human smuggling jet ski was noticed by Marysville border station marine units returning from Canada.

CBP Air and Marine Operations confirmed that it was the same jet ski that had already brought in the two Brazilian men and that it was taking the same route as during the first trip earlier in the day.

After disembarking on US territory, the two newly smuggled individuals started to walk inland, but the US Border Patrol agents caught them.

They turned out to be a 47-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman from Brazil. According to the CBP, all of the trafficked individuals were illegal immigrants.

“I could not be prouder of the men and women of Detroit Sector. These criminals made the brazen attempt on a busy weekend without regard, or fear of our law-abiding community,” Chief Patrol Agent Robert Danley declared in a CBP announcement.

The four Brazilians have been charged with illegal entry, while the American smuggler has been charged with unlawful transportation. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police helped with the investigation.
