(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a stunning display of what can only be arrogance or stupidity – perhaps both – New York City Mayor Eric Adams is insisting that the New York City Subway System is safe even though a woman was recently killed when she was pushed in front of a train by a deranged criminal.

“Mayor Eric Adams insisted that New York City’s subway system was safe Sunday, one day after a 40-year-old woman was pushed in front of an oncoming train by an accused ex-convict and killed.
“‘New Yorkers are safe on the subway system,” Adams, a former NYPD transit cop, said during a press conference held at a subway station. “I think it’s about 1.7% of the crimes in New York City that occur on the subway system. Think about that for a moment. What we must do is remove the perception of fear. Cases like this aggravate the perception of fear…
“The female victim, identified as Michelle Alyssa Go of New York, was pushed to her death in front of a subway train at the Times Square station. The man believed responsible fled the scene but turned himself in to transit police a short time later, Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell said at a news conference.” [emphasis added]

It’s only the “perception of fear” that is the problem when a woman with at least half her life still ahead of her is pushed in front of a subway train as she innocently stands on the platform at Times Square in the heart of Manhattan.
Many good folks had a lot of hopes for Adams, a former cop, when he was elected. Now, just weeks into his mayoral debut and he’s raising many questions by appointing his brother to a high-paying job as a deputy police commissioner (he since demoted him after a huge public outcry) and now claiming the subways are safe immediately after a woman’s life was snuffed out.
