(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Jason Aldean’s anti-woke country hit “Try That In a Small Town” has suffered a new ordeal after Fox Corporation forced its producers to remove footage showing violent Black Lives Matter riots from the music video.
Fox threatened Aldean with legal action unless the archival footage of BLM rioters filmed by Fox 5 Atlanta was edited out of the highly popular song’s video, TMZ reports, as cited by Breitbart News.
The brief series of clips from the BLM riots in Atlanta used in the original version of the “Try That in a Small Town” music video consists of six seconds of news footage.
According to TMZ’s sources, the company that made the video asked Fox for permission to use the footage in May.
Fox responded by asking for additional details, including the song’s lyrics. However, a misunderstanding seems to have occurred since the production company didn’t supply the lyrics in writing but sent the TV network a link to the song.
According to the report, a week ago, Fox issued a “polite ultimatum” to Jason Aldean and the company behind the video, asking it cut out the Fox 5 Atlanta footage to avoid a lawsuit.
The production company agreed and did so accordingly, leading it to publish a re-edited video of “Try That in a Small Town.”
In the clip’s new version, the shots from the violent BLM rioting projected on the courthouse in Columbia, Tennessee, were replaced with scenes of Aldean performing the song.
The anti-woke hit song had already suffered another censorship hurdle after Country Music Television (CMT) stopped broadcasting its video after only one weekend under pressure from leftist groups.
Paramount, CMT’s owner, has supported the Black Lives Matter rioters even though they looted cities nationwide, Breitbart News points out in a report.
“‘Try That in a Small Town’ has enraged leftists and corporate journalists who have attempted to censor the song for its depiction of the violent and deadly Black Lives Matter riots of 2020 as well as the overall spike in crime in major cities,” the conservative news outlet comments.
