(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Republican US Rep. Jim Jordan blasted the FBI in an open letter to Director Christopher Wray based on a whistleblower’s revelations that the bureau is “reclassifying” cases to boost the left’s narrative about the threat from domestic extremism.
“New whistleblower information reveals that the FBI is moving agents off of child sexual abuse investigations to instead pursue political investigations,” wrote Jordan, an ally of President Donald Trump.
“The whistleblower recounted being told that ‘child sexual abuse investigations were no longer an FBI priority,’” he added in a Twitter post published by the House Judiciary GOP, which included a copy of his letter to Wray.
In it, Jordan recounted how a whistleblower told him and others from the House Judiciary Committee that the management of the FBI’s office in Washington, DC, was “pressuring agents” to change the classification of cases failing to fit the “domestic violent extremism” criteria.
The goal of such actions is to advance further the allegations of the Democratic Party that domestic terrorism is the main threat to the United States.
“New whistleblowers have come forward with concerning information about how the FBI is deliberately manipulating the way case files related to Jan. 6 investigations are maintained in order to create a false and misleading narrative that domestic violent extremism is increasing around the country,” the letter said.
“The whistleblower alleged ‘the FBI has not followed regular procedure’ with respect to Jan. 6 cases,” it added, as cited by Newsmax.
Jordan emphasized that the cases were supposed to go through the FBI’s field office in DC but have been sent to the offices where the suspects reside to create the impression that “domestic extremism” is a nationwide problem.
Besides the re-classifications, FBI agents are ordered to re-prioritize cases, leaving child sex abuse cases to local police authorities.
“Such a posture is not only a dereliction of the FBI’s mission to investigate violations of federal laws but is a grave disservice to the victims of child sex abuse and other crimes that do not advance the FBI leadership’s political agenda,” Jordan declared.
In a live TV interview with Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson, the Ohio US Representative said the FBI leadership was “cooking the books” to inflate the “domestic extremism” cases.
“They are juicing the numbers and cooking the books. They are so focused on this they are willing to pull agency from child trafficking cases to foster this narrative that Joe Biden in front of Independence Hall with the red background, clenched fist talking about half of the country being extremists,” Jordan said.
