(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a crucial development that spells tremendous trouble for Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, new polls indicate that she is encountering significant difficulties in gaining support from male voters in pivotal states like Pennsylvania, Nevada, and North Carolina.
The gender disparity among Democrats and Republicans isn’t a recent phenomenon, but it’s particularly marked in this closely contested presidential race, The Hill stresses in a report.
The report notes while former President Trump’s challenges in attracting female voters are well documented, new surveys reveal Harris is struggling significantly with male voters in certain states.
During the Democratic convention in Chicago last month, Harris and her team did not heavily emphasize her potential to make history as the first female president. Political analysts note that some male voters in parts of the country are hesitant to see a woman in the Oval Office.
A senior Senate Democratic aide highlighted that sexism and misogyny continue to be influential in the swing states.
“Misogyny is a hell of a drug,” the source remarked, drawing a parallel to the resistance Hillary Clinton faced as the Democrat nominee eight years ago.
“It was glossed over when people said everyone hated Hillary Clinton,” the Democrat observed.
In the 2016 election, Clinton lost the male vote to Trump by 11 points, 41 percent to 52 percent, while winning the female vote by 13 points, 54 percent to 41 percent.
Recent polls show a shift in male voter preferences towards Trump and away from Harris in Pennsylvania, a key state in the 2024 election.
A recent CNN/SSRS poll indicates Trump leading Harris among likely male voters in Pennsylvania by 15 points—55 percent to 40 percent.
Conversely, Harris leads among female voters by 11 points—53 percent to 42 percent.
This is a notable shift from a March CNN/SSRS poll, which showed Trump with a smaller lead over President Biden among male voters: 51 percent to 41 percent.
Additionally, male voters in Nevada are significantly favoring Trump over Harris.
This survey of likely Nevada voters revealed that Trump holds an 18-point advantage among male voters, 57 percent to 39 percent, while Harris maintains a 16-point lead among female voters, 55 percent to 39 percent.
In North Carolina, another pivotal swing state, Trump also appears to be capitalizing on the gender split.
An East Carolina University poll conducted from August 26 to 28 among likely voters in the state shows Trump ahead by 9 points among male voters—51.6 percent to 42.8 percent.
Meanwhile, Harris is leading among female voters by nearly 5 points—49.5 percent to 45.1 percent.
