Kristi Noem’s Shocking Announcement

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Shocking and even disappointing a significant number of her Republican, conservative, and libertarian supporters and admirers, popular South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem announced today that she has no plans to go after the Republican nomination for the 2024 Presidential Election.

Instead, Noem said that since she just received the endorsement of former President Donald Trump as a candidate for reelection as South Dakota’s governor – a race she is expected to win easily – that is the path she will follow.

According to Newsmax:

“South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who has former President Donald Trump’s endorsement for her reelection bid, tells Newsmax she is not looking at a 2024 bid for the White House, as she is more interested in staying in her state.

“‘I’m running for reelection as governor,’ the Republican governor said on Newsmax’s “Rob Schmitt Tonight” Tuesday. ‘I’m hoping that people here will continue to support me for that position. And frankly, I think there’s probably a lot of people that are out there running for president. I’m interested in staying right here at home.'”

One veteran political pundit says a quick survey of true fiscal and social conservatives found a significant amount of disappointment that Noem is ruling out a 2024 Presidential Election campaign. Noem is very popular with genuinely conservative Americans as she has governed as a true fiscal and social conservative.

Still, the pundit noted Noem will be well-positioned to jump into the 2024 GOP Presidential Primaries if former President Donald Trump falters or decides not to run. And, most candidates seeking reelection for an office lower than the presidency do not announce an interest in the presidency until after they’ve won reelection.

Bottom line: South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem still has all options available to her in 2024 if, as expected, she wins reelection as Governor this November.
