Liz Cheney Blames GOP for Grocery Store Massacre

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Before the investigation is complete or the bodies of the dead buried, United States Congresswoman Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican, is blaming her fellow Republicans for Saturday’s racist massacre at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York, that left ten dead and three wounded.

As Fox News recounts in “Liz Cheney blames GOP leaders for enabling White racism days after Buffalo shooter’s attack“:

“Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., is blaming leaders in her own party for enabling hate in the U.S., after a mass shooting in Buffalo, N.Y., where the suspect is believed to be a white nationalist.

“Two days after Payton Gendron allegedly went on a shooting spree at a grocery store, killing 10 people and injuring three – most of whom were Black – Cheney took to Twitter to point a finger at her fellow Republicans.

The House GOP leadership has enabled white nationalism, white supremacy, and anti-semitism. History has taught us that what begins with words ends in far worse,” Cheney posted. “@GOP leaders must renounce and reject these views and those who hold them.” [emphasis added]

This isn’t the first time Cheney has ostracized herself from her own political party. She willingly joined U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021, protest at the United States Capitol.

Cheney was removed from the U.S. House Republican leadership and replaced by Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, a New York Republican. Additionally, Cheney faces a stiff primary challenge in Wyoming that could oust her from the U.S.House of Representatives this November.
