(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) has launched yet another baseless attack on President Donald Trump, shockingly claiming he is plotting a “civil war” against Americans.
The California Democrat made these inflammatory accusations during a Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) conference, continuing her years-long pattern of making wild, unsubstantiated claims about the President that only serve to divide the nation further.
Waters, who represents California’s 43rd congressional district, has long been one of President Trump’s most vocal critics in Congress.
She claimed without evidence that Trump has been actively planning for armed conflict since before the 2020 election.
This represents just the latest in a string of outlandish statements from the 86-year-old congresswoman who has previously called for harassment of Trump administration officials in public.
“I want to know about all of those right-wing organizations that he’s connected with who are training up in the hills somewhere and targeting what communities they’re going to attack,” Waters said, making an extraordinary claim with zero supporting evidence.
Waters did not stop there, continuing her fearmongering by suggesting Trump has outlined specific plans for revenge against his political opponents.
“Not only are they planning on a civil war if they have to do that, but he’s spelling it out – how and what they’re going to do and how he’s going to get revenge, how he’s going to attack his enemies,” Waters claimed.
She added, “I’m worried that Trump is on the edge of creating a civil war. He alluded to it more than once. He alluded to the fact that if he did not get reelected, that there could be a civil war.”
During her remarks, Waters attempted to paint Trump’s economic policies as somehow designed to provoke violence.
She also criticized Trump’s proposed tariffs and potential government reforms as evidence of his supposed desire for conflict.
This rhetoric reveals the left’s growing desperation as Trump’s America First policies continue to resonate with everyday Americans who are struggling with the past administration’s failed economic policies.
By fabricating claims about “civil war,” Waters appears to be attempting to delegitimize Trump’s tenure and energize her base through fear rather than substantive policy discussions.
Representative Yvette Clarke (D-NY) distanced herself from Waters’ most extreme claims, noting that they represented Waters’ personal views.
This suggests that even some of Waters’ colleagues recognize her accusations’ inflammatory and unsupported nature.
Although Waters preaches about nonviolence and invokes Martin Luther King Jr., her own words consistently undermine national unity.
Americans would be better served if Waters focused on addressing the crime, homelessness, and economic hardship plaguing her own district rather than spreading conspiracy theories about the President, who continues to advocate for policies that benefit all Americans.
