(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a jaw-dropping moment, a panel of MSNBC hosts celebrated Democrat Stacey Abrams’s run for governor of Georgia by comparing her to “Moses” even though she lost the gubernatorial election for the second time to Republican Brian Kemp.
Abrams, a far-left progressive, lost in Tuesday’s midterms to GOP incumbent Brain Kemp by a margin of 7.6 percentage points, or almost 200,000 voters.
With 100% of the votes counted, Kemp won reelection with 53.4% or 2,109,105 votes vs. Abrams’ 45.8% or 1,809,522 votes.
Four years ago, Kemp won over Abrams by a much narrower margin of 1.4 percentage points, or 45,000 votes: in Georgia’s 2018 gubernatorial election, the Republican got 50.2% or 1,978,408 votes compared with the progressivist Democrat’s 48.8% or 1,923,685 votes.
Nevertheless, the Morning Joe program hosts on leftist TV network MSNBC praised Stacey Abrams for “revolutionizing” Georgia’s politics.
“I said I’ve never seen anybody with a state wired like Abrams. She lost. We understand that but talk about how she put Georgia on the map for Democrats,” host Joe Scarborough declared.
MSNBC host Symone Sanders, a former aide to Vice President Kamala Harris and US Sen. Bernie Sanders, lauded Abrams’ New Georgia Project.
“The work Stacey Abrams did is the reason that Georgia was in play in ’20, is in play right now, will continue to be in play for the cycles to come. And so sometimes you do not get to reap the immediate benefits for yourself of the work that you do,” Sanders argued.
“I think that is a story that Black women all across this country know all too well. But people better stand up and give Stacey Abrams her flowers,” Harris’s former spokeswoman added.
Scarborough compared Abrams’ political career to the Bible story about Moses, who “led Jews to the promised land, but he didn’t get there himself.” He then turned for more commentary to another MSNBC host, Rev. Al Sharpton.
“He didn’t get there himself, but God took care of Moses. God said, I will bury Moses, ya’ll leave Moses alone and let Joshua keep going, and Stacey will get her due, God will reward Stacey,” Sharpton replied.
“And anytime you see Ossoff, and Warnock and Biden in Washington, you’re looking at the work of Stacey Abrams,” he insisted.
In her concession speech on election night, Abrams indicated she would remain active in politics.
“Tonight, I am doing clearly what is the responsible thing, I am suspending my campaign for governor. I may no longer be seeking the office of governor, but I will never stop doing everything in my power to make sure the people in Georgia have a voice,” said the twice-failed Democrat gubernatorial candidate.
“While I may have not crossed the finish line, that doesn’t mean that I won’t stop running for a better Georgia. Even though my fight — our fight — for the governor’s mansion came up short, I’m pretty tall,” Abrams added.
