(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – A new mass shooting has claimed one life and injured three other people in Democrat-run Chicago, which bills itself as “gun free” due to its “strict” firearm laws.
The latest mass shooting in the Windy City occurred in the Washington Park neighborhood, according to the Chicago Police Department.
An 18-year-old man was shot and killed, while two of the three wounded individuals are teenagers, The Chicago Tribune reported.
The Chicago PD said its officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 5700 block of South Payne Drive at about 8:15 p.m.
The cops discovered several people had been shot in the street after an unknown man pulled out a gun and began firing.
The gunman shot at multiple people who were running away from the scene after an argument among several women had escalated.
The 18-year-old man who perished received gunshot wounds in the thigh and buttocks. He was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.
Two other teenagers – a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man – were injured but were hospitalized in fair condition.
The boy was shot in the leg, and the 18-year-old suffered wounds in the leg and torso.
The fourth victim in the shooting attack is a 52-year-old man who is in critical condition at the University of Chicago Medical Center after getting shot in the chest and face.
Nobody has been arrested over the incident, and there has been no information about the suspected gunman.
According to the police, about 28 rounds were fired in the shooting.
CBS Chicago identified the young man who was killed as Tyshon Johnson, who came from a family with two brothers and four sisters.
His mother, Yolanda, who provided photos of her murdered son, said he loved sports and had been preparing for his senior year in high school.
She said she hadn’t been told much about the mass shooting and only received a telephone call informing her of her son’s death.
