NEW: Trump Rips ‘Slap on the Wrist’

Donald Trump

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In an exceptionally justified outburst for a man whose life was in danger twice in two months, Donald Trump has blasted the Biden-Harris administration for the minor charges against his second would-be assassin, which he described as a “slap on the wrist.”

The former president asserted on Monday that the Harris-Biden administration is mishandling and underestimating the severity of a recent assassination attempt against him, marking the second such incident this year.

Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, suspected of ambushing the former president at his Florida golf course, was detained without bond by a federal judge in West Palm Beach on Monday.

Initially, Routh faced charges for illegal firearm possession due to his status as a convicted felon and for having a gun with a tampered serial number.

However, on the same day, federal prosecutors hinted that they would soon levy more severe charges against him.

“BREAKING: The Kamala Harris/Joe Biden Department of Justice and FBI are mishandling and downplaying the second assassination attempt on my life since July. The charges brought against the maniac assassin are a slap on the wrist,” Trump said in a statement following the pretrial detention order for Routh.

Trump criticized the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI, claiming they have persistently targeted him with aggressive legal tactics since he first announced his presidential campaign.

“It’s no wonder, since the DOJ and FBI have been coming after me nonstop with Weaponized Lawfare since I announced my first Historic Campaign for the Presidency,” he said.

According to investigators, Routh fled from his concealed position near the 6th hole of Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach before he could fire at Trump.

His escape was prompted by a Secret Service agent who spotted the gun barrel and shot at him.

In a separate incident on July 13, during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump was shot in the right ear.

Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, fired eight shots at Trump from a rooftop across from the stage before he was fatally shot by a Secret Service agent.

Trump continued to express his grievances about various controversies and investigations involving him, from allegations of Russian interference in his campaigns to impeachments and probes into his conduct.

“The DOJ and FBI have a Conflict of Interest since they have been obsessed with ‘Getting Trump’ for so long. It’s very difficult to trust the Biden/Harris DOJ/FBI to investigate the assassination attempts, due to Election Interference and the FAKE CASES brought against me, including their control over local D.A.s and A.G.s,” Trump declared.
