Obama’s Brain to Dems: Stop Fantasizing (Video)

Barack Obama

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a message showing a reunification of the Democrat political machine, Barack Obama’s former top advisor David Axelrod, sometimes called “Obama’s brain,” has told leftist voters to stop fantasizing that Joe Biden might not clinch the party nomination – even though he previously complained about the president’s old age.

Axelrod, previously a key adviser and strategist to President Obama, made these comments during an appearance on Bill Maher’s show “Real Time,” cited by The Daily Caller.

In recent times, prominent Democrats and their aides have voiced concerns regarding Biden’s capability to secure a victory in the 2024 presidential race.

These apprehensions are due to various factors, including the president’s advanced age and the complications arising from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s independent presidential bid.

Axelrod addressed these concerns by labeling the idea of substituting Biden with a more electable candidate as “a fantasy,” urging Democrats to abandon such thoughts.

During the discussion, Maher queried whether an underwhelming performance by Biden in the upcoming June 27 debate might present a suitable moment to consider a change in candidacy.

“Listen, that is a fantasy that I hear a lot. Right now, he is the nominee of the Democratic Party,” Axelrod firmly replied.

He emphasized that unlike the 1968 Democratic convention, current rules mandate that party voters choose the nominee, firmly establishing Biden’s position.

Despite trailing behind former President Donald Trump in polls, particularly in pivotal swing states, Biden’s position seems secure.

Trump’s recent legal challenges might inadvertently strengthen Biden’s campaign, as some independent voters and Republicans have expressed decreased likelihood of supporting Trump.

Concerns about Biden’s age and suitability for presidency persist, with polls consistently reflecting a significant portion of the electorate’s reluctance about his candidacy.

For instance, a Wall Street Journal poll in March revealed that only 36% of registered voters consider Biden mentally fit for the presidency, while 73% perceive him as too old to run.

Polls further indicate a general dissatisfaction with both potential candidates, with many voters open to replacing both if possible.

Axelrod, addressing voter indecision, advised focusing on the reality of the election rather than indulging in the fantasy of an alternative candidate.
