Deputies responded to a McDonald’s on Washington Road in Augusta, Georgia, after a concerned customer noticed three young children – ages 1, 6, and 10 – sitting alone in the restaurant.
The McDonald’s location reportedly has an indoor playground where the children were waiting.
A deputy arriving on the scene confirmed the children were unattended, and witnesses reported seeing Louis leave the establishment.
When Louis returned to the McDonald’s past 5 o’clock., officers detained him immediately.
He explained to authorities that he was simply trying to attend a job interview and had no means to transport his children back home first.
Even though he explained what had happened, officers arrested him and charged him with deprivation of a minor.
