(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In an utter outrage leaving no doubt about the damage she’d do to America if she wins the 2024 election, Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris has promised to grant amnesty to illegal aliens.
Harris, on her newly launched campaign website, pledges to establish an “earned pathway to citizenship” for migrants who enter the US illegally, The New York Post reports.
“She knows that our immigration system is broken and needs comprehensive reform that includes strong border security and an earned pathway to citizenship,” the website claims.
The site, which debuted Sunday—over a month into her campaign—has faced criticism for its lack of specificity.
Former President Donald Trump, Harris’ competitor for the presidency, has declared his intention to implement a significant deportation plan to remove illegal immigrants from the US.
The policies outlined on Harris’ website regarding border issues, which are considered highly important by voters, fail to provide new solutions and merely refer to a previous bipartisan Senate bill.
“As President, she will bring back the bipartisan border security bill and sign it into law,” her website promises, without further elaboration on how to address the ongoing crisis.
Trump’s Republican vice-presidential candidate, Senator JD Vance of Ohio, has strongly criticized Harris’ proposal, arguing it would encourage more immigrants to enter the US.
“The most destructive part of the Kamala Harris border plan is where she says that she wants to give her 8.5+ million illegal aliens an ‘earned pathway to citizenship,’ which means rewarding illegal aliens with amnesty and the right to vote in our next election,” Vance stated on social media platform X.
He believes that “Promising amnesty and citizenship will create a gigantic magnet for illegal immigration that will entice people around the world to race across our borders.”
Vice President Harris has advocated multiple times for the “pathway to citizenship,” during a period when she oversaw the largest number of migrant crossings in American history, while serving as the White House’s “border czar.”
She reiterated this stance in her speeches at the Democratic National Convention and in June, emphasizing the need for congressional action.
“We do need Congress to act and to do what we know is necessary to fully put the resources into the border and creating a meaningful pathway to citizenship,” she remarked at the beginning of summer.
In response to criticisms, Democrats, including Harris, have accused Republicans of blocking the Senate border bill.
