(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a true indication of how pathetic Kamala Harris is and how little she really cares about American voters, the Democrat presidential candidate has minimized her interaction with the media and the public so much that she is on the verge of setting a record for granting the fewest interviews ever by a major party’s presidential nominee.
This is not merely because she joined the presidential race later than usual, The New York Post stresses in a report.
Since President Biden declared he would not seek re-election on July 21, Harris, 59, has participated in only six interviews.
This selective approach has left both her supporters and detractors eager for more insight.
She has carefully chosen her interview venues, such as an August 29 session with CNN’s Dana Bash, alongside her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
Other interviews have included discussions with Philadelphia’s ABC station, Spanish-language radio host Chiquibaby, and a panel at a National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) event.
In contrast, former President Donald Trump has been much more available, conducting at least three times more interviews during the same timeframe, some lasting up to an hour, including a notable discussion on X Spaces with Elon Musk.
Senator JD Vance, the Republican vice-presidential candidate, has also been a frequent guest on Sunday morning television.
Despite Harris’ limited public engagements, she has not been able to dodge uncomfortable situations and the derisive “word salad” comments from her critics.
In her CNN interview, when Dana Bash asked about the apparent policy shifts since her 2020 presidential campaign, Harris asserted, “my values have not changed,” inadvertently providing fodder for the Trump campaign.
During a NABJ panel, when probed about her stance on slavery reparations, Harris replied, “We need to speak truth about the generational impact of our history, in terms of the generational impact of slavery, the generational impact of redlining, of Jim Crow laws. I could go on and on and on. These are facts that have impact, and we need to speak truth about it. And we need to speak truth about it in a way that’s about deriving solutions.”
In another instance with Philadelphia’s Action News 6 ABC anchor Brian Taff, she responded to a query about reducing costs by highlighting the nation’s character.
“We as Americans have beautiful character. We have ambitions and aspirations and dreams. But not everyone necessarily has access to the resources that can help them fuel those dreams and ambitions,” she said.
These occurrences might dissuade any campaign from wanting more media exposure for their candidate.
Psychiatrist and body language expert Carole Lieberman suggested to The Post that Harris might be dealing with deeper anxiety issues during interviews.
