PROOF: American’s Believe THIS About Trump Trial

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Most American voters, including a third of Democrats, believe the indictments slapped on former President Donald Trump present “an attempt to stop” his White House quest, according to a new poll.

The top 2024 Republican presidential contender has been indicted twice by the Biden Justice Department – over allegedly mishandling classified documents and a supposed attempt to overturn the 2020 election.

Manhattan’s “woke” DA has also indicted Trump for allegedly bribing a porn actress. Another state indictment by a Democrat DA is looming in Atlanta for supposedly trying to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.

The survey by leftist pollsters CBS News and YouGov asked respondents nationwide how they viewed the federal and state indictments against Trump, Breitbart News reports.

Close to two-thirds of all Americans – or 59% – think the probes and charges are “an attempt to stop Trump’s 2024 campaign,” while 41% believe that is not the case.

A whopping 86% of Republicans are convinced the Biden Justice Department and the leftist district attorneys are seeking to stop Trump’s presidential run.

The same view is held by 63% of independent voters and even by 31% of Democrats.

Yet, the poll also found that over half of the respondents – 57% – consider the anti-Trump investigations as developments “upholding the rule of law,” while 43% believe the opposite.

A smaller majority – 52% – also think the probes and indictments against the former president are “defending democracy,” though 48% disagree.

Over one-third of those polled said the Trump indictments were “an attack on people like [them],” including 63% of those who voted for him in 2020 and 56% of Republican voters.

The survey discovered that 38% of Americans are more concerned that the charges against Trump are politically motivated than with accusations that he tried to overturn the 2020 election.

However, the same share – 38% – said they were more worried by the latter presumption. Another 24% declared they were equally concerned with both issues.

Interestingly, among independents, 41% are more worried that Trump faces political persecution, while 38% think the claims he tried to overturn a presidential election are more important.

According to the poll, 51% believe the former president “planned to stay in the presidency through illegal and unconstitutional activities.” Conversely, 49% think he planned to remain in office “through legal and constitutional processes” or “did not plan to stay in the presidency beyond the end of his term.”

The CBS-YouGov poll was conducted among 2,145 adults from August 2-4, with an error margin of 2.9 percentage points.
