(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a what has been described as a “stunning security failure,” U.S. authorities have approved entry for Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang members, overlooking key tattoos indicative of criminal affiliation.

Lax immigration checks led to these gangsters from the Tren de Aragua gang reaching U.S. borders.
This breach reveals a significant flaw in our national security framework.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) unwittingly approved refugee applications for Venezuelan gang affiliates, missing crucial tattoo indicators of gang membership.
Fortunately, another agency caught this oversight and prevented their entry.
Such tattoos are crucial identifiers, yet experts were shocked that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) overlooked these red flags.
Kevin Grigsby, head of refugee operations at USCIS, acknowledged the error and criticized staff for failing to conduct basic checks.
“Unfortunately we did not ask about the tattoos during our adjudication or did not identify that the tattoos asked about were consistent with gang membership,” he wrote in a September 16 message, cited by The Washington Times.
This blunder is a dire warning about potential future lapses.
“The potential entry of suspected gang members into the United States represents a serious public safety concern that we need to make sure we are being vigilant against,” Grigsby added.
The Tren de Aragua (TDA) gang is infamous for severe criminal activities, including attacks on police and homicide.
With transnational reach, they maintain ties with Venezuelan state elements, presenting severe threats to U.S. security.
The number of TDA members already in the U.S. remains unknown, raising concerns about unchecked immigration processes.
Critics like Rosemary Jenks slammed the oversight as a significant national security failure.
This negligence underscores the urgent need for reform.
“It is egregious that the Biden-Harris administration knowingly continues to admit individuals that belong to transnational criminal organizations whose only purpose is to enter the United States and prey on U.S. citizens,” said Emilio Gonzalez, who ran USCIS in the George W. Bush administration.
He called the lapse “scandalous.”
Homeland Security has identified 100 known TDA members and 500 suspects among migrants heading to America.
Security experts often liken this gang to a more lethal version of MS-13.
Despite USCIS being ordered to scrutinize gang indicators, critics call for more stringent measures to thwart such national security threats.
