Stunning Verdict in Clinton ‘Russiagate’ Case

Hillary Rodham Clinton and John Durham

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – BREAKING NOW: With a stunning verdict that calls into question the competence of Special Counsel John Durham — the prosecutor hand-picked to investigate “Russiagate” by former President Donald Trump’s Attorney General — the jury in the prosecution of Michael Sussman, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign attorney, has found Sussman not guilty of lying to the FBI about his involvement with Clinton.

As the conservative Washington Times recounts what has just happened:

“A jury acquitted former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann Tuesday on a felony charge of intentionally deceiving the FBI, a major blow to special counsel John Durham’s investigation of misconduct by U.S. intelligence agencies probing conspiracy theories about Trump-Russia collusion…

“After the verdict, one of the jurors, a woman who declined to give her name, spoke to the media. She said charges should never have been filed against Mr. Sussmann in the first place.

“‘I don’t think it should have been prosecuted,’ she said of the case. ‘There are bigger things that affect the nation than a possible lie to the FBI.'”

“‘It was the government’s job to prove it and they succeeded in some ways and not in others,’ she continued. ‘We broke it down and it did not pan out in the government’s favor.'” [emphasis added]

Durham had the following to say after losing a case he spent several years investigating:

“‘While we are disappointed in the outcome, we respect the jury’s decision and thank them for their service. I also want to recognize and thank the investigators and the prosecution team for their dedicated efforts in seeking truth and justice in this case.”

What is your opinion about the jury finding Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussman not guilty of lying to the FBI in the first case brought to trial by special counsel John Durham?
