(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – A 31-year-old Texas father disappeared mysteriously from his home with his wife, and the local police finding bizarre traces in the house’s backyard and the nearby woods, a report informs.
Colby Richards, a part-time engineering firm employee and part-time baseball coach, left his home in Spring, Texas, early in the morning of May 24 and hasn’t been seen since then, Fox News reports.
His wife, Callie Richards, recounts that her husband woke up around 5 am, which wasn’t unusual for him, but he never returned to the bedroom to prepare for work.
According to Allison Fox, Colby’s cousin, Callie searched for him and, when she couldn’t find him, contacted the police.
“He wasn’t in the house, so she checked the backyard … and she noticed that the back gate was open, which was atypical,” Fox said.
“He never leaves the house that way, and they would never leave the gate open anyway because they have a dog and two small children,” she informed further.
The Sheriff’s Office of Montgomery County, Texas, sent search teams to the area of the family’s house.
“[They] found a water bottle of his near the trailhead in the wooded area with trails and stuff behind where they live,” Fox said.
When Colby Richards left home, he didn’t take his wallet or phone.
“Search and rescue, so far, has been out for several days… We’ve had everything from people on foot, thermal drones, regular visual drones, people on ATVs, people on horseback and people driving around in their cars checking to see if there are security cameras or doorbell cameras,” Colby’s cousin explained.
“And we’ve been trying to get the word out to everybody that if they see him, or they see anything out of the ordinary … to call the sheriff’s department,” she added.
While Richards sometimes went on walks in the woods, that wasn’t a regular activity. He wasn’t known to have conflicts with anybody.
“He’s… a very nice guy, and the idea that somebody having a problem with him or whatever is pretty perplexing to us,” Fox concluded.
When last seen, Colby Richards wore a T-shirt, black shorts, and gray sneakers.
