Texas Gov. Abbott Has Message for New York Mayor

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott has challenged Eric Adams, the Democrat Mayor of New York City, to make good on his threat to dispatch New Yorkers on a campaign against Abbott’s reelection.

Adams threatened the Texas governor to intervene to the detriment of the latter’s quest for reelection because Abbott had sent buses with illegal immigrants to Democrat-run communities such as the Big Apple.

In the November elections, Abbott is running against Democrat challenger Beto O’Rourke, a former US House of Representatives member from 2013-2019.

Speaking on Wednesday, the GOP governor of Texas dared Eric Adams to go ahead and fulfill his threat, saying that if the NYC mayor did that, it would “make my day,” The New York Post reported, as cited by Newsmax.

Abbott doubled down on his actions so far, declaring that he would keep sending the illegals to the Democrat-run communities.

He stressed that the mayor of New York City is only starting to “get a taste” of the ordeal that cities on the Southern Border have been dealing with since Joe Biden became President and opened up the border.

Abbott made the promise just hours after nearly 100 illegal immigrants had disembarked outside Manhattan’s Port Authority terminal from three charter buses that the Texas governor had hired for the purpose. He had already shipped to Adams another 70 illegals over the weekend.

“You know, I kind of feel like Clint Eastwood. Go ahead, mayor. Make my day,” Abbott told Fox News.

A day earlier, on Tuesday, the NYC mayor declared that he was “deeply contemplating taking a busload of New Yorkers to go to Texas and do some good, old-fashioned door-knocking” to campaign against Abbott’s reelection.

The Texas governor, however, turned it around on the Democrats as he stated that there “could hardly be anything better” as Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke to be “aided by a bunch of New Yorkers,” which ” will not be viewed very positively by the state of Texas.”

“I know he thinks he’s Clint Eastwood, but he’s not. He is an anti-American governor that is really going against everything we stand for. And I am going to do everything feasible to make sure Texans, the people of Texas, realize how harmful he is to us globally,” NYC Mayor Adams responded later on Wednesday to Abbot’s dare.
