(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – The “deep state” in the US government is real – and it is run entirely by the Democrat left, high-ranking Republican lawmaker James Comer has concluded after investigating the Biden family.
The term “deep state” typically refers to unelected government staffers, often from the intelligence services, secretly shaping policies and decisions.
According to Rep. Comer (R-KY), who chairs the House Oversight Committee, the “deep state” of “liberal activists” is weaponizing the US government against conservatives and Republicans.
“The deep state is real. You have all these agencies infiltrated by liberal activists, and the FBI is no different,” Comer told “The Cats Roundtable” program on 77 WABC Radio-NY, as cited by Newsmax.
His comments come after two IRS whistleblowers came forward before House GOP-led committees, alleging that the Biden Justice Department shielded scandalous First Son Hunter Biden from severe criminal charges. In a recent DOJ deal, Hunter Biden will serve no prison time for tax and gun ownership crimes.
Comer’s Oversight Committee found the Biden family received $10 million from Communist China and Romania. It exposed an FBI informant file claiming a pro-Putin Ukrainian oligarch bribed Joe and Hunter Biden with $5 million each.
According to Comer, the whistleblowers prove that the DOJ, the FBI, and Attorney General Merrick Garland can’t be trusted.
“I don’t trust Merrick Garland. I think we’ve seen that from the IRS whistleblowers. I think we’ve seen that from the FBI whistleblowers…” he said.
The GOP lawmaker insisted the House GOP must remain in charge of the Biden and government corruption probes.
“The FBI stuck their fingers in their ear. ‘No! We don’t want to hear it,’ “Comer stressed.
He added that if Garland appointed a special counsel, that would shield the Bidens through “an ongoing federal investigation.”
“The Department of Justice under Merrick Garland has blocked and obstructed every credible investigation into Biden corruption, so I don’t think that under any circumstance we should give Merrick Garland the authority to pick one person who doesn’t have to report to anyone as special counsel and take over this investigation,” Comer continued.
“The Oversight Committee has proven we can find out more in five months than the IRS was able to find out in five years,” he said.
