They’re ADMITTING Slaves’ Descendants Before Others?

The Last Patriot News Happening Now

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – California is once again at the forefront of controversial policy-making with a bill proposing admissions priority for descendants of slaves at its major public universities.

This blatant attempt to discriminate against hardworking students based on race flies in the face of the Supreme Court’s decision to end affirmative action and threatens to divide Americans further.

Assemblymember Isaac Bryan plans to introduce the controversial legislation in the upcoming session, claiming it will address “historical injustices” in university admissions.

However, critics argued it was simply a thinly veiled attempt to circumvent the recent Supreme Court ruling and continue unfair race-based admissions policies.

The proposal is part of a broader push by California Democrats to implement reparations and other racially divisive policies.

It aligns with recommendations from the state’s Black Reparations Task Force, which has proposed a host of measures that would provide preferential treatment based on race.

Bryan and other proponents are attempting to frame the act as a response to legacy admissions policies that have benefited children of alumni and donors.

Yet, the solution to unfair admissions practices is not more discrimination and racial preferences.

“For decades universities gave preferential admission treatment to donors, and their family members, while others tied to legacies of harm were ignored and at times outright excluded,” Bryan stated.

The push for this discriminatory bill comes as conservatives nationwide have been fighting back against divisive DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) programs in higher education.

Several states have already passed laws restricting these initiatives, which often promote radical leftist ideologies under the guise of “inclusion.”

Notably, the incoming Trump administration has vowed to dismantle DEI programs and cut funding for schools that continue to implement them.

Bryan’s bill appears to be a direct response to President Trump’s pledge to provide “reparations” to white and Asian students who have been unfairly discriminated against by race-based admissions policies.

Unlike California’s proposal, Trump’s plan would address actual, ongoing discrimination rather than centuries-old historical grievances.

“When folks think about reparations, they think about just cash payments. But repairing the harm and the inequality that came from slavery and the policies thereafter is a much bigger process,” Bryan continued.

While Bryan attempts to frame the law as addressing inequality, it would create new forms of discrimination and further divide Americans along racial lines.

True equality means treating all students fairly based on their individual merits, not providing special privileges based on ancestry.
