Trump CANCELS Chevron License – Venezuela SHOCKED!

Cracked Venezuela and USA flags side by side

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – The Venezuelan socialist regime has been left in panic mode and scrambling for answers after President Donald Trump revoked Chevron’s oil license in the Caribbean nation.

The president’s decision effectively cuts off a major financial lifeline for dictator Nicolas Maduro’s corrupt regime.

The bold action aims to pressure the socialist dictator to implement electoral reforms and address the exodus of Venezuelans fleeing into the United States.

President Trump is leveraging America’s economic might to force real change for freedom where Joe Biden’s weak policies failed.

The president announced the termination of Chevron’s license to operate in Venezuela via Truth Social, effective March 1.

The decision reverses a controversial 2022 Biden administration policy that allowed the American energy giant to conduct business with Venezuela’s state-owned oil company despite broader U.S. sanctions against the Maduro regime.

“We are hereby reversing the concessions that Crooked Joe Biden gave to Nicolás Maduro, of Venezuela, on the oil transaction agreement,” Trump stated firmly in his announcement.

He specifically referred to the “oil transaction agreement, dated November 26, 2022.”

The president cited Venezuela’s failure to meet “electoral conditions” and Maduro’s broken promises to accept the return of Venezuelan illegals currently in the United States as key reasons for the decision.

This move demonstrates President Trump’s commitment to using America’s economic leverage as a powerful negotiating tool to advance both democratic values abroad and immigration priorities at home.

The revocation will halt Chevron’s export of nearly 240,000 barrels of Venezuelan crude per day.

It will also cut a significant revenue stream that Venezuelan opposition leaders stated has been used to fund Maduro’s oppressive regime rather than benefiting the Venezuelan people.

The legitimate winner of Venezuela’s contested July 2024 election, Edmundo González, is recognized by the United States government, while Maduro continues to cling to power through fraudulent means.

“This is a huge step, and it sends a clear, clear, firm message that Maduro is in huge trouble,” said opposition leader Maria Corina Machado.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio strongly supported the president’s move, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to ending Biden-era policies that effectively propped up Maduro’s illegitimate regime.

The previous administration’s approach provided Maduro with between $2.1 and $3.2 billion every year through tax and royalty payments.

These funds have enriched Maduro’s inner circle instead of being used to fix Venezuela’s crumbling infrastructure and help its suffering citizens.

Venezuelan fraudulent Vice President Delcy Rodriguez predictably lashed out, calling the decision “damaging and inexplicable.”

The Maduro regime has consistently rejected U.S. sanctions as illegitimate economic warfare while refusing to implement the political reforms that would lead to their removal through free elections.

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright assured Americans that the license revocation would not impact domestic energy supplies.

He emphasized that the United States remains the world’s largest oil producer under President Trump.

This reinforces the administration’s commitment to energy independence and America First policies that protect U.S. interests while advancing freedom abroad.

The move signals President Trump’s return to a more robust approach to dealing with socialist dictatorships in Latin America after four years of Biden’s ineffective appeasement strategies.

By taking a firm stand against Maduro’s electoral fraud and linking economic consequences to Venezuela’s role in the border crisis, President Trump is addressing multiple national security priorities with a single decisive action.
