(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a new declaration that could dramatically change the 2024 presidential race and its aftermath, GOP nominee Donald Trump has stated he would no longer be nice to the Obamas and other top Democrats after they turned “nasty” on him during their Democrat National Convention speeches.
Trump has frequently expressed critical and sometimes intensely negative opinions about Barack Obama, who is viewed by many as having pushed the United States further to the left than any previous president, WND notes in a report.
However, Trump’s recent remarks came as a surprise to many.
“I think he’s a nice gentleman, but he was very weak on trade… I happen to like him. I respect him and I respect his wife,” Trump stated previously about Obama during an interview on CNN.
Nonetheless, this sentiment seemed to have vanished after Barack and Michelle Obama both criticized Trump during their speeches at the Democratic National Convention, making derogatory insinuations that extended even to comments about his manhood.
“Donald Trump said Wednesday he was giving up being nice to the Obamas, after they used their speeches at the Democratic convention to mock his record, his crowd sizes and even his manhood,” The Daily Mail reported.
Trump labeled Michelle Obama as “nasty” and highlighted that their rhetoric had shifted from calling for substantive policy discussions to personal attacks.
“I’m trying to be nice to these people. They were lousy presidents, and you know this one coming. It’s the worst,” he commented to DailyMail.com at a campaign stop in North Carolina.
Trump was referring to Kamala Harris, the Democrat nominee for president.
“She makes Obama look like … I mean, forget it … She’s a radical Marxist person that ruined everything in her path,” Trump declared.
The relationship between Trump and Obama has consistently been fraught, exacerbated by Trump’s promotion of the “birther” conspiracy, which falsely claimed Obama was not born in the United States.
Michelle Obama has also been a focal point of ridicule among certain Trump supporters, who circulate memes suggesting she is transgender.
Trump denied knowing who would make such a claim and added, “I certainly wouldn’t say that.” However, he confirmed, “But she is very nasty to me.”
“I mean, look, they say, ‘Oh, don’t be personal. Talk about policy.’ I want to talk about policy…. But people say, don’t get personal, but then they get personal,” Trump explained.
