Trump Slams Biden; Heads to Ohio

(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – The Biden administration has finally sent federal emergency officials to the site of Ohio’s toxic train derailment, more than two weeks after the disaster released a chemical plume that contaminated local streams and caused a mass evacuation of panicked residents.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will supplement federal efforts, as the US Environmental Protection Agency and Ohio EPA have been working together since the day of the disaster.

However, East Palestine, Ohio locals have criticized the slow state of the federal response since the train carrying toxic vinyl chloride and other chemicals derailed on February 3rd.

A “controlled release” and burn of hazardous materials from the 150-car Norfolk Southern freight train was conducted to avoid a major explosion. That release killed thousands of fish, sickened pets and wildlife, and sparked fears of severe health risks for the town’s 5,000 residents.

The crisis did not qualify for a federal disaster declaration or for FEMA aid, a Biden administration official told Fox News earlier on Friday. The official stated that FEMA is on the frontlines when there is a hurricane or tornado, but this situation is different.

Ohio’s Rep. Bill Johnson slammed Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s absence from the scene and stated that he hasn’t shown up and therefore gets an F.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump bashed President Biden hours after a tweet from his son, Donald Trump Jr., revealed that his father will visit East Palestine in the coming days.

In an email to his supporters, Trump said that Biden and FEMA said they would not be sending federal aid to East Palestine, but as soon as he announced that he was going, Biden announced a team would go. The people of East Palestine need help, and Trump said he would see everyone on Wednesday.

In conclusion, the locals criticized the slow response from the state and federal agencies. The Biden administration’s decision not to declare a federal disaster or provide FEMA aid has sparked controversy.
