(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In an intriguing observation that bodes well for Donald Trump, a focus group conducted by Reuters with ten undecided voters showed that the former president was favored by six, while Kamala Harris captured only three after Tuesday night’s presidential debate.
This is despite the fact that liberal pundits have proclaimed Vice President Kamala Harris the clear victor of Tuesday night’s debate.
The New York Times found similar outcomes among undecided voters, Breitbart News notes in a report.
The debate, criticized for perceived bias by the ABC News moderators, was largely seen as a standoff between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Michael Knowles expressed his dissatisfaction on X, stating, “These ‘moderators’ are complete hacks. It’s three on one, and Trump is still winning!”
Some analysts doubted the debate’s impact on the upcoming election.
However, Reuters revealed that six out of ten undecided voters leaned towards Trump, swayed by Harris’s “vague” responses and a greater trust in Trump’s economic policies, the paramount concern for the 2024 election cycle.
“Reuters interviewed 10 people who were still unsure how they were going to vote in the Nov. 5 election before they watched the debate. Six said afterward they would now either vote for Trump or were leaning toward backing him. Three said they would now back Harris and one was still unsure how he would vote. … Five said they found Harris vague during the more than 90-minute debate on how she would improve the U.S. economy and deal with the high cost of living, a top concern for voters. … Four of those six also said Harris did not convince them she would pursue different economic policies than Democratic President Joe Biden, a Democrat they largely blame for the high cost of living,” the news agency informed.
The group consisted of six men and four women, all of whom had previously voted for both Democratic and Republican candidates.
“I felt like the whole debate was Kamala Harris telling me why not to vote for Donald Trump instead of why she’s the right candidate,” remarked Robert Wheeler, a security firm executive from Nevada who initially leaned towards Harris.
Mark Kadish, an entrepreneur from Florida, echoed the sentiment, stating, “I still don’t know what she is for. There was no real meat and bones for her plans.”
The narrative was reinforced by The New York Times interviews with undecided voters after the debate.
“Trump’s pitch was a little more convincing than hers. I guess I’m leaning more on his facts than her vision,” said Keilah Miller from Milwaukee, a previous Democrat voter.
“When Trump was in office — not going to lie — I was living way better. I’ve never been so down as in the past four years. It’s been so hard for me,” she added.
