(TheLastPatriotNews.com) – In a surprising and shocking announcement, former President Donald Trump said he would not be returning to Twitter even after Elon Musk takes complete control and, as everyone assumes, reinstates Trump’s account.
Instead, Trump says he will stick with Truth Social, the social media platform that he created after Twitter banned him from its platform.
According to several sources who follow Trump’s media activities closely, part of the surprise is that Trump has never posted to his Truth Social account.
Also, the Truth Social platform reportedly continues to have technical problems as many who have tried to activate accounts there continue to be told they are in “cue” and, in some cases, have been for months now.
Still, the Truth Social app has been the most requested in the Apple app store recently.
Acknowledging that he has been absent from Truth Social, “Trump told Fox News that he will formally join his own Truth Social startup over the next seven days, as planned,” according to a report at Newsmax.
“I am not going on Twitter. I am going to stay on Truth,” Trump told Fox News. “I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it, and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on Truth,” Trump said.
